Cave finds from protohistoric settlements, imperial documents and evidence of witch-hunts


Open Air Museum Heuneburg Herbertingen

The oldest mudbrick wall north of the Alps. Remains of a Celtic hill-top settlement have been preserved  in the Upper Danube region near Hundersingen for over 2,500 years. Over the last few years, part of this unique site has been reconstructed and made into an open air museum.

Local history museum "in der Zehntscheuer"

The "Zehntscheuer" or former tithe barn is Balingen's "museum building" and houses the local history museum and the Friedrich Eckenfelder Art Gallery. It also offers space for temporary exhibitions.

Natural history educational centre Ulm
